Correction to the 2017 Instructions for Form 1040
If you downloaded the 2017 Instructions for Form 1040 before January 31, 2018, please note the following.
On page 46, in the Worksheet To See if You Should Fill in For 6251–Line 45, we have corrected the "No" portion of line 1 to read:
"No. Skip lines 1 and 2; enter on line 3 the amount for Form 1040, line 38, and go to line 4."
The corrected version of the 2017 instructions for Form 1040 is available for download.
